Reconvene into open session to take any actions and complete agenda items. NEW BUSINESS: 1. SUBMITTED BY: Debra Kathan Personnel Director DATE: June 6, 1996 COPIES TO: County Board Office, County Clerk, News Media, Notice Board, Committee Members RESOURCE AND EDUCATION COMMITTEE Date: June 10, 1996 Location: Government Center, Hudson The Resource and Education Committee was called to order at 9:03 a.m. by Chairman Vern Dull. Members present: Dull, Art Jensen, Chris Bethke, Ron Raymond, and Tom Dorsey. Also present: Bob Heise from Land Conservation, Debra Kathan from Personnel. Board Chairman Bob Boche was present for a portion of the meeting. Moved (Jensen, Raymond) and approved to accept the agenda as revised. Bob Heise requested action from the committee regarding a four -lot minor sub -division in Kinnickinnic Township. Heise noted that the developer had implemented plans for an erosion control plan by Stevens Engineering and would be posting a bond to assure compliance with the plan. Moved (Jensen, Bethke) and approved to accept the sub -division plans as modified with the erosion control plan. The Committee reviewed the job descriptions prepared by the Planning Department for the positions of Recycling/Solid Waste Coordinator and Recycling Specialist. After a line -by-line review of job duties and responsibilities, the Committee developed a job description that they authorized the Personnel Director to draft and distribute. The Committee indicated their interest in reducing the job size to one position and eliminating the emphasis on administrative or management tasks. Art Jensen was excused at 10:15 to attend a funeral. The Committee set a July 2 meeting date to finalize the job description and determine staffing needs. The Personnel Director was instructed to meet with the Director of Planning prior to the next Committee meeting to review the job description and Committee concerns.
