ST. CROIX COUNTY LIBRARY BOARD MEETING
ST. CROIX COUNTY LIBRARY, HAMMOND
June 6, 1996 9:04 A.M.
Present: Bieraugel, Cassellius, Irwin, Knutson, and Woll.
Absent: McLaughlin and Plourde.
Other: Dana Bjerke, Maureen Farrell, and Mary Hemenway.
The meeting was called to order by appointed President Bieraugel.
Motion by Knutson, seconded by Cassellius to accept the agenda.
Motion carried. Next Library Board meeting will be August 1, 1996,
at the County Library. Motion by Cassellius, seconded by Knutson
to accept the May 9, 1996 minutes as published. Motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
Election of Library Board Officers:
President: Motion by Irwin, seconded by Knutson to elect
Bieraugel. Motion carried.
Vice President: Irwin agreed to fill the position, seconded by
Bieraugel. Motion carried.
Secretary: Dan Woll agreed to remain as Board Secretary.
Library Books by Mail Budget: Farrell reviewed with the board the
revised 1996 budget.
St. Croix County Library Budget: Farrell reviewed with the board
budget issues for 1997. She also explained to the new members why
the county is responsible for funding.
Director's Report: The St. Croix County Council of the American
Legion recently donated $800 to St. Croix County Library. The
money will be used to support the third annual Reading Festival,
scheduled for Saturday, October 19, 1996, at St. Croix Central
Elementary School, Roberts.
Financial Activity Report and June Vouchers: Motion by Woll,
seconded by Knutson to approve the May Financial Activity Report
and the June Vouchers. Motion carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
Library Automation Cost Study Committee: Last meeting was May 9th,
where the Dynix System demo was viewed. Price quote forms from
Dynix, have been completed from the public libraries and sent back
to Dynix for a price quote. Winnebago also will be asked to
provide a price quote.
Motion by Cassellius, seconded by Woll to adjourn. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 10:00 A.M.
