MINUTES
PLANNING, ZONING & PARKS COMMITTEE
JULY 10, 1996
ST. CROIX COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER, HUDSON, WI
PRESENT: Chairperson Tom Dorsey; Supervisors Ron Raymond, Linda Luckey and George
Menter. Staff in attendance included Chuck Christenson, Ellen Denzer, Dave
Fodroczi, Tom Nelson, Jim Rusch, Kay Zilz.
ABSENT: Supervisor Bill Oemichen, excused.
Chairperson Dorsey called the meeting to order at 3:35 p.m. Motion by Raymond, seconded by
Menter to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
Land Information Program
Committee and staff discussed the June 26th briefing by UGC Consulting on the Strategic
Implementation Plan for Land Information. Issues that were considered included the need to
amend the County Land Information Plan, long-term funding strategies and a possible 1996
application for a Wisconsin Land Information Program grant. The Committee agreed that the
very short timeframes for 1997 budgeting and the grant application would not allow enough time
to adequately inform the County Board of the features and costs of the plan. Members wanted
to take more time for review and refinement of the UGC plan and related costs. Submittal of
the grant was deferred until further review could take place.
Closed Session on Perch Lake Acquisition
Motion by Luckey, seconded by Raymond to go into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statute
Sec. 19.85(1)(e) to deliberate on the possible acquisition of property at Perch Lake. Motion
carried on a unanimous roll call vote.
Motion by Raymond, seconded by Luckey to come out of closed session. Motion carried.
Motion by Menter, seconded by Raymond to adjourn the meeting at 5:00 p.m. Motion carried.
