PLANNING, ZONING & PARKS COMMITTEE
AUGUST 12, 1996
ST. CROIX COUNTY GOVERNMENT CENTER, HUDSON, WI
PRESENT: Chairperson Tom Dorsey; Supervisors Ron Raymond, Linda Luckey and George
Menter. Staff in attendance included Dave Fodroczi.
ABSENT: Supervisor Bill Oemichen, excused.
Chairperson Dorsey called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. Motion by Menter, seconded by
Raymond to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
Work Session on Visioning and Planning Process for County Development Management
Plan and Zoning Ordinance Project
Fodroczi reviewed background materials that were distributed before the meeting and would be
used for the Visioning Workshop for the Steering Committee on September 7th. Extended
Committee discussion of format and content of Visioning Workshop, the role of visioning in
development of the County Plan, and the relationship between planning and zoning. The
Committee supported the staff recommendation that several community volunteers should be
added to the participant list for the Visioning Workshop. Committee agreed that it should meet
again to further discuss its participation and identify issues for the Visioning Workshop. The
Committee set a meeting for 7:00 p.m., August 28, 1996 at the Government Center in Hudson.
Motion by Raymond, seconded by Menter to adjourn the meeting at 9:10 p.m. Motion carried.
