ANNOUNCEMENTS AND CORRESPONDENCE POSSIBLE AGENDA ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING ADJOURNMENT (Agenda not necessarily presented in this order) SUBMITTED BY: St. Croix County Zoning Office DATE: July 3, 1997 COPIES TO: County Board Office Committee Members County Clerk News Media/Notice Board MINUTES Planning, Zoning & Parks Committee July 23, 1997 Troy Town Hall Committee present: Tom Dorsey, George Menter, Ron Raymond, Linda Luckey & Dave Hense. Staff present: Mary Jenkins Chairman Dorsey called the hearing to order at 8:10 P. M. The agenda was read into the record. Zoning Business: John & Jody O'Grady to rezone an 11 acre parcel of land from Agriculture to Agriculture Residential. Location: The NE%4 of the SWl/4, Section 34, T28N- R19W, Town of Troy, St. Croix County, Wisconsin. Jody O'Grady, 630 Swedish Mission Road, River Falls, Wisconsin, told the committee that they wish to rezone in order to create a minor subdivision. Committee questioned whether the Town of Troy's three acre minimum lot size would be met, and Ms. O'Grady said that there would be two lots of five and six acres, one with an existing house and a proposed house for the second lot. Discussion by committee on how an 11 acre parcel existed in exclusive ag zoning. Ms. O'Grady said that this parcel was part of the original 35 acre farm of her mother's, and when it was split approximately 35 years ago, the 11 acres plus a 14 acre parcel her mother still owns, resulted. Jenkins informed committee members that soils on the parcel are Class II and Class III. Chairman Dorsey asked for further comments, and when receiving none, called for a motion to close the hearing. A motion was made by Menter, seconded by Hense, to close the hearing. Motion carried. A motion was made by Hense to recommend approval of the rezoning request from Agriculture to Agriculture Residential to the County Board, stipulating that it meets the requirements of WI Stats. 91.77. Motion was seconded by Menter. Motion carried. Minutes from the following rezoning hearings were presented to the committee: June 18, Somerset Town Hall, June 25, Erin Prairie Town Hall, July 9, Star Prairie Town Hall, July 10, Somerset Town Hall. A motion was made by Hense, seconded by Raymond, to approve the minutes. On a motion by Hense, seconded by adjourned at 8:30 PM. Dave Hense; Sec. tary Raymond, the hearing was adjourned.
