A parcel of land located in the SE 1/4 of the NE
1/4 of Section 4, T31N-R19W, Town of Somerset, St.
Croix County, Wisconsin.
2) Wes Halle to rezone a 1.6 acre parcel of land from
Ag./Residential to Commercial: Location: Part of the
SW1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Section 33, T31N-R18W, Town of
Star Prairie.

MINUTES
ST. CROIX COUNTY PLANNING, ZONING AND PARKS COMMITTEE
August 13, 1997
Star Prairie Town Hall
Committee present: Tom Dorsey, George Menter, Ron Raymond, Linda Luckey, Dave
Hense.
Staff Present: David Dacquisto
Chairman Dorsey called the hearing to order at 8:07P.M. The agenda was read into the
record.
Zoning Business:
Wes Halle, to rezone a 1.6 acre parcel of land from Agriculture/Residential to
Commercial. Location: Part of the SW % of the SE '/4 of Section 33, T31 N-R18W,
Town of Star Prairie.
The Committee asked if Mr. Halle had been to the Town for approval.
Mr. Halle stated he thought this was the Town hearing.
The Committee informed Mr. Halle that he would have to go to the Town Board for approval of
his request.
Mr. Ralph Mondor asked if the request fell under the extra territorial jurisdiction of New
Richmond.
Mr. Halle stated that he knew it did.
The Committee and staff pointed out a problem with driveway separation.
The Committee stated they would need to postpone the decision until they hear from the
Town.
Craig Arndt, to rezone 17+ acres from Agriculture to Ag/residential. Location: The SE
% of NE % of Section 4, T31N, R19W, all in the Town of Somerset, St. Croix County,
Wisconsin.
Anne Arndt of 2367 41h St. Osceola, WI stated that they had sent in a copy of their new survey.
It came out to 15.62 acres, 16.07 with the R/W.
George Sinclair stated the Town supported the request.
16 +acres.
A motion was made by Hense, seconded by Raymond, to close the hearing to the public.
Committee read the findings from State Statute 91.77 that must be made in order to rezone
Agricultural land and asked the Town Board if they could make these findings that the
development would not create an undue burden on the Town.
George Sinclair, Town of Somerset Town Chair, stated it would not.
A motion was made by Hense to recommend approval of the rezoning request with the
Committee finding that the requirements of State Statute 91.77 have been met, seconded by
Menter. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Hense, seconded by Raymond to adjourn. Motion carried. Hearing
adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
