PUBLIC PROTECTION COMMITTEE MEETING
September 16, 1997
MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Bill Krueger, Herb Giese, Chuck Mehls,
Jack Dowd and Bob Gunderson.
STAFF PRESENT: Sheriff Paul Burch and Renee Carufel.
Meeting called to order at 8:15 a.m. by Chairman Krueger.
Motion to approve the agenda as published by Giese/Gunderson.
Carried.
JAIL ASSESSMENT FUND: Motion was passed at the meeting of August
26th to spend $23,000 from the Jail Assessment Fund to pay for the
engineering costs involved in replacing the jail electrical panels.
Giese/Mehls made the motion that no Jail Assessment Funds should be
used for the replacement cost of these panels unless a surplus
remains at the end of years 98 and 99. Surplus funds will be
transferred to the panel repair account in those years. Carried.
