The sign cannot be mounted to the building without compliance or the sign permit may be revoked." Upon further analysis of Chapter 15.380, Section 2.b.7., states that the sign size does not include the support, structural members or framework. Therefore, the sign as designed complies and there is no longer a need for a Variance. Please find this request for the building sign conditionally approved based on the revised findings below as per Chapter 15.380 3.b.5.: The total area of all building signs does not exceed 10% of the fa4ade area and meets the maximum allowable sign area of 80 square feet per face and 240 square feet in total. Currently there are no signs on the building and the proposed sign is 12 square feet. The sign face does not protrude more than 6 inches from the wall/window. The sign does not extend above the roofline. Based on these revised findings, approval of SP-2020-001 is subject to the following conditions: 1. Sign and sign components, and elements of faces of signs shall not flash, move, travel, or use animation or change in intensity of artificial light. 2. The illuminated portion of the sign requires an electrical power cutoff switch on the outside of the sign. Sarah M. Borrell Sarah.BorrelI@sccwi.gov (715) 386-4683 3. The County may specify the hours a sign may be illuminated and limit its brightness while illuminated. The hours of illumination or brightness limitations may be established at any time, including during the life of the sign. 4. The signs display surface shall be properly coated or covered, attached and maintained. 5. The applicant shall be responsible to secure any other required local, state or federal permit(s) and approval(s) prior to erecting the signs. 6. Any amendment or change in the proposed sign shall require prior review by the Zoning Administrator for compliance with Chapter 15.380; a new permit may be required. 7. Failure to comply with the terms or conditions above may result in the revocation of this permit by the Zoning Administrator according to Chapter 15.380 41. This approval is subject to the conditions listed above; it does not allow for any additional signs, sign components and elements of signs beyond the limits of this request. Your information will remain on file with the St. Croix County Community Development Department. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with any other local, state, or federal permitting or regulations, including contacting the Town of Richmond and Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Outdoor Advertising, to inquire if additional permissions are required. This permit is valid for one year, with the possibility of up to two (2) six-month extensions if the applicant submits the appropriate permit extension fee and documentation to the Zoning Administrator.
