Therefore, this notice also serves as notice of a meeting of the County Board for the purpose of obtaining information relating to subjects listed above for use at future County Board meetings. LOCATION: Room 1281, St. Croix County Government Center, 1101 Carmichael Road Hudson, Wisconsin CALL TO ORDER — The meeting was called to order by Chair Norton -Bauman at 8:15 a.m. ROLL CALL — Members present: Sharon Norton - Bauman, Esther Wentz, Daryl Standafer, Lorin Sather, Buck Malick, and Ryan Sicard Absent: Gene Ruetz Others present: Administrative Coordinator Chuck Whiting, Finance Director Michelle Pietrick, Corporation Counsel Greg Timmerman, Kim Dupre, Charlie Carlson of Carlson- Dettman, Human Resources Administrator Tammy Funk, and Katie Thurmes ADOPTION OF AGENDA — Motion by Sather, 2nd by Wentz to approve the agenda as presented. Carried unanimously. DATE OF NEXT MEETING: September 16, 2010 APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS: None OLD AND NEW BUSINESS: 1. Review of Employee Health Insurance Renewal and Budget Impact — Whiting reviewed the latest health insurance renewal information. He explained the increase in the health insurance adds almost $1.8m to the budget net i ding highway [Note: From discussion at September 29, 2010 Administration Committee, the $1.8m did not include cost to the Highway Department.] He attributed the increase to higher claims leading to a higher aggregate exposure and to no longer having fund balances to apply to reducing the premium stemming from the proper application of the premium formula. Discussion about impact of health care reform. Discussion on the impact of the health insurance in the proposed budget and the upcoming discussion with the Board.
