HomeMy WebLinkAboutLong Term Support Committee 09-25-08 G LONG TERM SUPPORT PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES September 25, 2008 MEMBERS PRESENT: Bill Cranmer, Keith Gregerson, Lorraine Jacobs, Ron Jansen, Richard Peterson, Marge Wolske MEMBERS ABSENT: James Craig, Dave Peterson, Deb Ramacher MEMBERS EXCUSED: Melissa Walthal STAFF PRESENT: Ron Lockwood, LTS Coordinator; Angie Magoon, LTS Program Specialist Meeting called to order by Chair Gregerson at 2:25 p.m. Roll Call: Quorum present Motion to adopt agenda by Wolske, second by Cranmer. Motion carried. Motion to approve previous meeting's minutes by Jansen, second by Peterson. Motion carried. Next Meeting Date and Time: Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. in Rm 1216 at the Government Center, Hudson, WI OLD AND NEW BUSINESS: 1. Financial Report: Handout by Lockwood through 7/31108. Discussion. 2 & 3. MA Waiver Exceptional Expense /COP High Cost Requests /Nursing Home Relocation /Diversion Requests: Handout by Lockwood detailing an Estate Recovery Funding request for E.K.; three Nursing Home Relocation requests for L.R., H.W., and V.L.; four COP high cost requests for S.L., S.C., D.M. ($1478 each), & B.M ($7196) for a vehicle modification; one Special Waiver Funding request for C.D. ($1000) for a Comprehensive In Home Assessment. Motion to approve COP high cost/exceptional expense requests, Estate Recovery Funding request, Community Relocation requests and the Special Waiver funding by Cranmer, second by Jacobs. Motion carried. 4. Update regarding transition from Waiver to managed care system (CHP): 46 persons have transitioned 911/08, 60 on 10/1/08 and the plan is to move 60 -65 more persons effective 11/1/08. Four persons also moved from the current Waivers to the IRIS Waiver during September and October. 294 Waiver participants will transfer to the managed care entity or the IRIS Waiver system between September 1,2008 and February 1,2009. 5. Waiver participants selecting the IRIS Waiver: In St Croix County, about 10 -15% of current waiver participants are selecting the IRIS program that provides more autonomy for consumers regarding the selection of service providers and the kinds of services provided. 80% are 1 choosing the Family Care model, with less then 10% choosing the Partnership model. IRIS funds can carryover month to month if not utilized. 6. Recognize Governor's appointment of Ron Jansen as member of the Independent Living Council of Wisconsin: Ron Jansen briefly outlined his responsibilities as an ILCW board member. Mr. Jansen graciously accepted the congratulatory remarks made by fellow committee members. 7. Brad Beckman, Director, Aging and Disability Resource Center — Program Report: As of 9/1/08, three employees have relocated from the LTS Unit to the ADRC. One more is scheduled to relocate as of 10/1/08. They are having quite a few walk -ins seeking information. Motion made to adjourn at 3:20 p.m. by Peterson, second by Jansen. Motion carried.
