- Closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statues sec. 19.85 (1) (c) to conduct
interviews of final candidates for the position of Agriculture Agent in the UW-
Extension Department.
- Reconvene into open session

Closed Session for the Purpose of Interviewing Agriculture Agent Candidates
June 30, 2010
CALL TO ORDER: Supervisor Hermsen called the meeting to order at 12:41 p.m.
PRESENT: Present: Community Development Committee Members: Supervisors: Steve
Hermsen, Sharon Norton- Bauman, Buzz Marzolf, Gene Ruetz, James Stauffer and County Board
Supervisor, Bill Peavey.
Absent: Supervisors Robert Shearer, and Loren Sather
STAFF PRESENT: Joan Sprain, Family Living Agent, Co- Department Head
GUESTS: Deb Jones, UWEX Western District Director
ORIENTATION
Deb Jones, Western District Director provided an orientation of the process for the day including
a review of the position description, appropriate questions to ask and the schedule for the
afternoon.
Motion by Gene Ruetz and seconded by Buzz Marzolf to enter into closed session for the
purpose of interviewing and choosing a candidate to fill the Agriculture Agent position.
POSSIBLE AGENDA ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING
A decision was made to discuss other personnel matters in a closed session at the July
Community Development Committee meeting.
ADJOURN
A motion was made by Sharon Norton - Bauman and seconded by James Stauffer to move from
the closed session and adjourn the meeting at 6:07. Only one per diem will be submitted.
