Date of Next Meeting —November 18th, 2010, Hudson OLD AND NEW BUSINESS 1. Action Items a) Ordinances and Ordinance Amendments - Review Animal Waste Ordinance Amendments ANNOUNCEMENTS & CORRESPONDENCE POSSIBLE AGENDA ITEMS FOR NEXT MEETING ADJOURN NOTE: A quorum of the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors (County Board) may be present at this meeting. Therefore, this notice also serves as notice of a meeting of the County Board for the purpose of obtaining information relating to subjects listed above for use at future County Board meetings. (Items may be taken in different order) * Additions /Changes /Corrections MINUTES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE OCTOBER 25, 2010 CALL TO ORDER: Chair Hermsen called the meeting to order at 4:02 p.m. ROLL CALL - Members Present: Supervisors Steve Hermsen, Sharon Norton - Bauman, Lorin Sather, James Stauffer, Robert Shearer, Buzz Marzolf, Gene Ruetz. Ken Graf is excused. STAFF PRESENT: Bob Heise, Steve Olson, Ellen Denzer GUESTS: None CONSENT AGENDA: Motion by Shearer, 2 ° by Sather to adopt the agenda and consent agenda. Motion carried. Next CDC meeting is Thursday, November 18' at 6:00 p.m. at the Government Center and the next work session is Monday, November 22, at 4:00 p.m. at the Government Center. OLD AND NEW BUSINESS There is no old business to discuss. Chairman stated that the purpose of tonight's meeting is to serve as a work session to review the proposed amendments of the animal waste ordinance. Animal Waste Ordinance: The ordinance was displayed through a projector to facilitate discussion and review. Heise proceeded to introduce where we left off since the last meeting, beginning at Section 11.3 C — Construction Permits Denzer reviewed changes made in response to committee's comments at the previous meeting. These changes were all Okayed. Also staff has incorporated the proposed suggestions submitted by Supervisor Marzolf in an email. Committee offered several comments, suggestions to the ordinance. Denzer tracked all changes into the document. Staff is to research and offer suggestions to the committee on situations when immediate repairs are required. Essentially, does the County have the authority to take immediate corrective action on a failing system and assess the cost against the property? The committee ended discussion at Section 11.4 Administration and Enforcement and decided to close the working session for the evening. The date of the next working session is Monday, November 22, 2010 from 4 -6 p.m. in Hudson.
