ST C RQ RESOLUTION AMENDING 2020 BUDGET (3) AND PROVIDING
ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION TO PUBLIC HEALTH AND
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT FOR EXCESS HOURS DUE TO COVID-
19
1 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors adopted the 2020 County
2 Budget on November 5, 2019; and

4 WHEREAS, the Covid-19 pandemic has created substantially more work effort, in
5 particularly, for the Emergency Management and Public Health staff, and
6
7 WHEREAS, additional grant funding has become available to compensate staff
8 specifically for working directly on Covid-19 response; and
9
10 WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board wishes to recognize and reward the extra effort
11 of staff that are responding to the pandemic.

13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of
14 Supervisors does authorize amendment number 3 of the 2020 County Budget to the accounts
15 below and authorizes additional compensation at a straight pay rate for all hours worked related
16 to COVID-19 in excess of 40 hours per week by Emergency Management and Public Health
17 employees who are exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act over the first four months of the
18 pandemic between March 1, 2020 and June 27, 2020.
