Community Deveopment staff have resevctl the application to install rook nprap as shorelaM protection
with the St Croix County Lower St Croix Riverway and Floodplain oveday District The request has been
condmonally approved based on the application submission and the following findings
• A compete application was submitted on August 31, 2020
• Rack nprap is essato prevent additional e n food -prone areas, within a slope
Preservation zone antlry in the Ordinary High Water Mark setback
The nprap will be installed above the Ordinary High Water Mark (680% and aUbelow the Regional
Flood Elevation for the St Croix River (6920) The rock nprap will be approximately lW and will
align with neighboring progenies with existing nprap
• Limited vegetation removal will be included for the installation of tip rap on the shoreline Exact
tyres will be discussed as a pan of a pre construction meeting condition
• Fill or deposition of materials is allowed by a land use permit within the Flootlsvay Dated,
eased on these findings, approval of the Land Use Permit is subject to the following conditions.
1 No material may be deposited in the navigable channel within a W I ONR permit The materials shall be
protected against erosion by nprap and vegetative cover and will not be classified as Sold or hazardous
waste material
2. A copy of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and US Army Corp of Engineers Permit for
nprap along the shoreline shall be submitted
3. Notification prior to the beginning of the rip rap project is required the project timeline and vegetation

requirement to plant dreo-m rted native vegetation along the nprap to help stabilize it screen it and
enhance wildlife habitat

necessary due to site specific concerns

6 An affidavit shall be required describing the approved stormwater management, erosion and sediment
control and maintenance requirements within 30 days after commando is completed pursuant to
Chapter 1736 H 6.b
The property owner shall submit photos of the Lnaheirl rip rap An Inspection may be rixessary If site
concerns exist based on the photos.
B. It is the applicant s responsibility to secure any other required local, state or federal pernarrip and
apprwal(s) prior to land disturbance atlrviy.
9 Failure to comply with the terms or conditions above may result in the re✓ocation of this permit by the
Zoning Administrator according to Chapter 17 36
This approval is subject to the conditions listed above; it does not allow for any additional construction,
structures, or buildings beyond the Limits of this request. Your information will remain on file at the St
Croix County Community Development Department suite It is your responsibility to ensure compliance
with any other local, state, or federal permitting or regulations, including contacting the Town of Troy to
inquire if additional permissions are required. This permit is valid for one year, with the Possibility of up
