Community Development staff have reviewed the Land Use Permit application for the 280 square
foot screen porch attached to an existing single family dwelling within a Shoreland Overlay District
The request has been conditionally approved based on the application submission and the
following findings
• The coMmonally approved screen porch Is in the Town of Star Prairie within a Shoreland Overlay
District
• The proposed addition is within 300 feet of the ordinary high water mark(OHWM) of Squaw Lake
• The proposed addition meets the 75 foot setback to the OHWM The setback to the closest point
of the structure Pursuant to Ch 16 315 1 a
• Erosion and sediment control plans are not required because of minimal land disturbance
• The proposed addition meets the setback to the progeny Imes and maximum 35-foot height
requirement pursuant to CID IS.2203
• The total impervious surface calculation within 300 feet of the OHWM resulted in 19% The existing
stormwater mitigation onste decreases the total Impervious surfaces of proposed and existing
structures to 65% The original stormwater mitigation plan was submitted in 2006 with land use
permit#LU0052 Further mitigation is not required pursuant to Wis Stat 59.692
Based on these findings, approval of the Land Use Permit is subject to the following conditions
1 St Croix County reserves the right to require sediment and erosion control measures to be installed
if found necessary due to site specific concerns and will be documented in an as built site plan
2 This department recommends directing all stormwater runoff from the proposed addition to the
northwest rain garden
3 It Is the applicant's responsibility to secure any other required local, state or federal permil and
approval(s) prior to land disturbance activity
4 A port construction Inspection is required within 30 days of project completion Please call me at

5. Failure to comply with the terms or conditions above may result in the revocation of tins permit by
the Zoning Administrator pursuant to Chapter 15 555 and Chapter 16 5701.

on file at the St Croix County Community Development Department suite. It is your responsibility to
ensure compliance with any other local, state, or federal permitting or regulations, including
contacting the Town of Star Prairie and the Department of Natural Resources to inquire if additional
permissions are required This permit is valid for one year, with the possibility of up to two (2) six
month exterl B the applicant submits the appropriate permit extenvan fee and documentation
to the Zoning Administrator A copy of the land Use Permit placard should be submitted to the
town's local Building Inspector upon applying for town building permit(s) The orange placard must
be ported on the Lob -sue and visible from public view
