6 acres (2 - 3ac parcels) from R-2 to C-1 for Kurtz/Coco's Heart Dog
Rescue
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Ashley Kurtz,on behalf of Coco's Heart Dog Rescue (applicant),has applied to rezone six(6)acres of land
in the Town of Somerset from R-2 Residential District to C-1 Commercial District. The purpose of the
request is to facilitate the construction of an animal rescue facility with veterinary care services.
A Class II notice was published in the Star Observer on January 7,2021 and January 14,2021,establishing
a public hearing on January 21,2021 with the Community Development Committee meeting at 5:00 PM in
the St. Croix County Government Center Board Room, 1101 Carmichael Road,Hudson,Wisconsin.

1 The St. Croix County Board of Supervisors does hereby ordain as follows:
2 The St. Croix County Code of Ordinances, Land Use and Development for the County of
3 St. Croix, Wisconsin, is hereby amended by rezoning the following property:

5 From R-2 Residential District to C-1 Commercial District:

7 Lot 1 and Lot 2 of Certified Survey Map Volume 25 Page 5837, located in the SW% of the NE
8 of Section 5,Township 30 North, Range 19 West, Town of Somerset
9
10 The official zoning map of the Town of Somerset on file in the Community Development
11 Department shall be amended in accordance with this ordinance.This ordinance shall be effective
12 upon passage and publication as provided in Section 59.14 of the Wisconsin Statutes. This
13 ordinance shall not be codified.
