Public Hearing
1) Proposed Amendments to Section 17.09 DEFINITIONS, Section 17.18
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT and Section 17.19 INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT of the St.
Croix County Zoning Ordinance. The proposed amendments to the Commercial and
Industrial Zoning Districts will add a number of permitted uses to each district and
remove provisions that require town approval of special exceptions granted by the St.
Croix County Board of Adjustment. A number of related definitions are being added
or amended. The proposed amendments are intended to bring these sections of the
ordinance into conformance with recent Wisconsin court cases that have held that
similar provisions in other ordinances are invalid. The proposed amendments will
affect all properties currently included in the Commercial and Industrial Zoning
Districts on the official St. Croix County Zoning map. Copies of the zoning map can
be viewed or obtained from the Planning and Zoning Department. Comments and
questions from the public will be heard and addressed.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
The St. Croix County Planning and Zoning Committee will be conducting a public hearing on
Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Croix County Government Center,
Community Room, 1101 Carmichael Road, Hudson, Wisconsin, to consider the following:
1) Proposed Amendments to Section 17.09 DEFINITIONS, Section 17.18 COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT and Section 17.19 INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT of the St. Croix County Zoning
Ordinance. The proposed amendments to the Commercial and Industrial Zoning Districts

In the case of cancellation of this hearing, such notice will be announced on WIXK and WEVR
Radio Stations, or call the Planning and Zoning Department at 715- 386 -4680 before 5:00 p.m.
Written comments will be accepted through 5 p.m., Friday, March 5, 2010 at the Planning and
Zoning Department, and may be submitted in person, by mail, fax or email at:

PRESENT: Supervisor Gene Ruetz, Sharon Norton - Bauman, Lorin Sather, Steve
Hermsen; Peter Post was absent and excused.
STAFF PRESENT: Dave Fodroczi, Ellen Denzer, Kevin Grabau.
GUESTS: County Board Chair Roger Rebholz, Supervisor Richard `Buzz' Marzolf,
Board of Adjustment Chair Clarence "Buck" Malick, Town of Stanton Clerk Sharon
Balcerek, Carolyn Barrette, Tom Dorsey.
