Members Present
Doug Briggs- Somerset PD, Shannon Bartlett — Youth Service Bureau, Linda Luckey — County
Board, Buzz Marzolf — County Board, Steve Kirt — SCCHS — AODA, Norma Vrieze — St Croix
County Public Health, Greg Timmerman — St Croix County Corporation Counsel, Esther Wentz
— County Board, Pete Van Dusartz — Hudson Hospital — Programs for Change
Meeting called to order by Chair Wentz 3:03PM
Minutes from past meeting reviewed, Sept 23, 2010 — June 24, 2010 - 24 February 2010. Motion
by Kurt to approve, seconded by Marzolf — all approved — approved.
Future meetings -- no meeting in November or December. The January meeting date is to be
determined — Chair Wentz
AODA Update by YSB — Tabled until January meeting
County Prescription Drug Program- discussion was held on the recent DEA Drug Take back
initiative. Discussion was held on planned program for the future through the Sheriff's
Department. No action taken.
Substance Abuse Committee reorganization — Greg Timmerman — see attached - motion made by
Marzolf to accept reorganization as outlined in Timmerman's proposal, seconded by Luckey, all
voted in favor, accepted.
General discussion was held on current trends in substance abuse.
