Dates and Times of Future Meetings ADJOURN (Items may be taken in different order) ** Additions /Changes /Corrections Items for County Board approval must be submitted to the County Clerk's office by Tuesday preceding a County Board meeting. 8/19/2010 1:13 PM Substance Abuse Committee meeting minutes 8/26/10 -- Official Meeting called to order by chair Wentz 3:OOPM Members present — Linda Luckey, Norma Vrieze — Public Health, Susan Phillips — UWEZO, Steve Kirt — DHHS Behavioral health, Buzz Marzolf — County Board, Greg Timmerman — Corp. Counsel, Doug Briggs — Somerset PD, Gail Colligan — YSB /CHPS, Tom Hennes — Open Door rescue Mission, Amber Perry — Drug Court Coordinator, Judge Edward Vlack — St Croix County Circuit Court, Susan Morrow — Juvenile Treatment Court Social Worker. Greg Timmerman discussed the restructuring of the committee in light of the recent County Board restructuring. Timmerman suggested that the Substance Abuse Committee be comprised of the following entities: 3 County Board members Sheriff's Office Family Living Agent Behavioral health Public health Youth service Bureau Faith Community Local law Enforcement Drug Court It was discussed that this matter should be discussed with all current committee members, some of whom were not present. Chair Wentz volunteered to compose a letter about the matter to send to committee members. Juvenile Drug Court — see attachment Drug Court — see attachment — Amber Perry discussed that the drug court is now partnered with restorative justice Steve Kirt discusses family support and treatment programs. Tom Hennes — discussed that the, "Open door rescue Mission ", would be leasing a four bedroom house in Hudson. The project would serve women and children in transition. Doug Briggs — briefed the committee on the progress with the AODA grant and working with the Office of Justice assistance for the upcoming third and final year of the grant.
