Dates and Times of Future Meetings ADJOURN (Items may be taken in different order) ** Additions /Changes /Corrections Items for County Board approval must be submitted to the County Clerk's office by Wednesday morning preceding a County Board meeting. 5/24/2010 1:59 PM Official St Croix County Substance Abuse Committee Meeting Minutes May 26, 2010 Present: Gail Colligan (YSB), Dana Krahenbuhl (Hudson School District), Richard Marzolf (County Board), Linda Luckey (County Board),Pete Van Duartz (Hudson Hospital), Dennis Hillstead (St Croix County Sheriff), Doug Briggs (Somerset PD), Sandy Fuller (YSB), Joan Chamberlin (St Croix County AODA), Esther Wentz (County Board). 3:OOPM meeting called to order by Wentz, Approval of April 29 meeting minutes Luckey motion, second by Marzolf, carried. Review of video: "On the Edge ". Report from Steve Kirt of the Drug Treatment Court; one graduate in July. Madam — No report SCVRJ — No report Report from Hudson schools through Colligan — A new substance has emerged called, "spice ", or, "12 ", which is synthetic marijuana. Three hospitalizations have been caused by it in MN. At this time, it is not illegal and can be purchased through head shops and the internet. Chief Deputy Shilts briefed the committee on a prescription drug collection program that is in its beginning stages for St Croix County. Briggs discussed a meeting with three of the school districts in the county about the AODA program. Two of the school districts agreed to helping with the funding and another is considering it after asking for more information. Gail Colligan's letter of resignation was read to the committee by Wentz. The committee members expressed their appreciation to Gail for the work she had done. Submitted by Doug Briggs
