CROIX COUNTY LAND & WATER CONSERVATION/AG & EXTENSION RESOURCE & EDUCATION/PLANNING COMMITTEE Agricultural Center, Baldwin, WI August 15, 1997 Members Present: Leon Berenschot, Chris Bethke, Vernon Dull, Art Jensen, Jim Cody Members Absent: Ron Raymond LAND & WATER CONSERVATION Staff Present: County Conservationist -Charles Christenson, LWCD Secretary -Arlene Lier Meeting called to order by LWCC Chairman Jensen. Berenschot made motion to adopt agenda. Bethke seconded. Carried. Christenson presented 199$ budget for review: Total department budget increased 15.17% over 1997. General increase in salaries is Line 813 - Upgrade computers. Minimum 486's to run LANWAN in new Ag Center. Revenues from Land Records if available. Cost Share - 250, increase. Will apply revenues we already have. Glen Hills Watershed - Increased 343.029e due to dams, breach route studies were never done. Three alternatives - take dam out, take house out, or install signals. Chairman Jensen commented that Glen Hills Watershed and LWC Department budgets are the only ones we have control over. We do not know the future of state funding for watersheds. Bethke made motion to approve budget as presented. Berenschot seconded. Carried. UW-EXTENSION Staff Present: Kim Reaman Berenschot made a motion to accept the budget as presented. Jensen seconded the motion. Motion carried.
