Second by Bailey. Motion by Neumann to approve October 25th. minutes. Second by Bailey. Mechanical Issues: Best explained that only five issues remain unresolved. Claim one and two involved installing glycol in the system and reprogramming. Glycol is in and reprogramming is near completion. Claim five involves exhaust breaching on chillers. This claim is in the process of being completed. Valley Heating has taken measurements and will begin the installation on monday the 20th of March. This problem has cost the county extra money because the equipment has not been shut down since 1993. This has resulted in higher gas and electric bills. Claim seven involves making adjustments to the computer services AC unit. The amount of freon in the system is critical to cold weather operation. Claim 33 involves valves on air handlers that are not installed properly. Badger has promised to reposition the valves. Also about 12 thermometers are faulty and are in need of replacement. We have been in constant communication with Badger but have not resolved this issue. Claim 36 involves extended warranty for chiller one and two. We may not be able to get the warranty extended but we feel that since the chillers have not operated properly that we need to extend the warranty. Bradley Equipment: The Bradley controls in the Jail were not very reliable and maintenance is constantly making repairs. Bradley admitted that they were having trouble at other locations and were working on a solution. Bradley promised they would keep us in the loop when a solution was achieved. In February, Bradley was here and changed every relay and controls in the jail. So far things are working well. Best asked the committee that if claim seven and 33 could not be resolved in a timely manner if they would approve the funds to do the work and send the bill to Badger State.
