Meeting called to order by Chairman Tom Dorsey.
Tom Nelson opened discussion by describing the conditions that brought; us
to this meeting. Nelson explained about the Karst topography in the area,
the active sinkhole which brought about our concern of this development,
certain lots that were eliminated because of sinkholes or potential
sinkholes.
Heise presented revised stormwater and erosion control plans, deleted dike
(dam) in lots 1, 2 and diverted water from road, from west to east by an
18" culvert. A constructed dike planned to be constructed further west
from sinkhole as to reduce the amount of water to impound on sinkhole area.
Heise is to develop a plan to fill sinkhole and send to the Engineer,
Charles Sheets, for his review and approval. Discussion that potential
buyers should be made aware of shallow bedrock conditions and the potential
for groundwater pollution to their wells. Nelson recommended that wells
should possibly be cased deeper possibly to the Jordan aquifer. Developer
should be responsible to inform buyers of the above conditions.
Motion made by Raymond to recommend the stormwater and erosion control
plans for the Green Acres Country Estates as presented by Heise. Letter
should be forwarded to Zoning office recommending these plans. Seconded by
Bethke. Carried.
Raymond made motion to adjourn meeting at 7:17 p.m. Bethke seconded.
Carried.
