ST. RO LINTY RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE COUNTY SUPERVISORY
DISTRICT PLAN
1 WHEREAS, every ten years the United States Census Bureau conducts a census of the
2 population and provides population county to the State of Wisconsin and local municipalities;
3 and
4
5 WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin delivered detailed population data and block-level
6 maps to St. Croix County on August 16, 2021; and
7
8 WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes Sec. 59.10(3)requires each county to adopt a new
9 county supervisory district plan based on the population data block-level maps; and
10
11 WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes Sec. 59.10(3)(b)1 also requires each county to hold a
12 public hearing to solicit suggestions from the public and local municipalities before adopting the
13 tentative county supervisory district plan; and
14
15 WHEREAS, said public hearing was held on September 9, 2021; and
16
17 WHEREAS, the tentative county supervisor district plan 1, a copy of which is attached
18 to this resolution, contains supervisory districts which are substantially equal in population.

20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of
21 Supervisors hereby adopts the attached tentative county supervisory district plan 1.

23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors directs
24 the county staff to transmit copies of the tentative county supervisory district plan 1 to each
25 municipal governing body in the county.

financial impact.
