ST. CROIX COUNTY PARKS DEPARTMENT TO
APPLY FOR A 2010 LAKES PLANNING GRANT

St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, Glen Lake is an important resource used by the public for recreation
and enjoyment of natural beauty; and
WHEREAS, contour mapping of Glen Lake will provide the public and anglers
with information about the lake bottom structure, water depths and fish habitat; and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County is qualified to carry out the responsibilities of this
project; and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County has included the contour mapping of Glen Lake in
the 2010 Parks budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the St. Croix County Board of
Supervisors that the Parks Department is authorized to request up to $6,000.00 from the
Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources under the "Lake Management Grant
Program" to create a contour map of Glen Lake; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Robert Heise, Director of the Land and
Water Conservation and Parks Department, is authorized to act on behalf of St. Croix
County to submit a grant application to the Department of Natural Resources.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Parks Department
shall comply with state rules for programs, may perform force account work, and shall
comply with obligations under the grant.
