COMMITTTEE TO ASSIST THE U. S. CENSUS BUREAU IN ASSURING AN ACCURATE
COUNT OF ST. CROIX COUNTY RESIDENTS IN THE YEAR 2010 CENSUS

St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, the United States Constitution requires a decennial census and the next census will occur in
2010; and
WHEREAS, the information collected by the decennial census serves as the basis for the allocation of
seats in the United Stated House of Representatives as well as the allocation of federal and state revenue
sharing; and
WHEREAS, for these and other reasons, an accurate census count is in the best interest of the citizens of
Wisconsin and the residents of St. Croix County; and
WHEREAS, the United States Census Bureau has requested the assistance of St. Croix County in
promoting an accurate count of St. Croix County residents in the Year 2010 Census.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors authorizes the St.
Croix County University of Wisconsin - Extension Office to establish a Complete Count Committee and
appoint its members to assist St. Croix County in promoting an accurate 2010 census count of St. Croix
County residents.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Complete Count Committee shall consist of representatives of
various communities within St. Croix County including, but not limited to, the following:
public and private education; business community; minority populations; senior citizens; faith -
based communities; local government; civic organizations; not for profit organizations; media.
