TO THE TOWN OF SOMERSET

St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, St. Croix County owns approximately 57 acres which the Highway Department
uses for an outlying shop and gravel pit, which is located in the SW '/ of Section 36, T31N, R19W, Town
of Somerset and Village of Somerset; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Somerset owns 4.338 acres which is located adjacent to the above said
St. Croix County property and is located in the SE %4 of the SW '/ of Section 36, T3 IN, R19W, Town of
Somerset, and is currently the Town Hall property; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the both the existing Town Salt Shed and Pole Shed
encroach upon the above said St. Croix County property; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Transportation Committee desires to convey 1.157 acres of
said St. Croix County property, which is not suitable for gravel mining, to the Town of Somerset; and
WHEREAS, both the Town of Somerset and the St. Croix County Transportation Committee are
in agreement that a Certified Survey Map be created to resolve ambiguities in the boundary and to
relocate the common property line, therefore eliminating the encroachments; and
WHEREAS, the County Surveyor's Department will create said Certified Survey Map and deed
relating to the above; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors
approves the conveyance of 1.157 acres, as defined by said Certified Survey Map, to the Town of
Somerset as an intergovernmental cooperative effort.
