AND HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT UNDER THE FINANCE DIRECTOR POSITION

St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, St. Croix County has consistently worked to improve its financial reporting, train its financial
staff and meet high standards of accounting in as efficient a manner as practical for ongoing County operations at
the Government Center in Hudson and the Health and Human Services Department in New Richmond; and
WHEREAS, due to recent vacancies in key finance positions in each location and in keeping with the
County's practice to review and evaluate options that can improve operations when position vacancies occur,
management has reviewed options pertaining to vacancies in both locations, and has determined operational
efficiencies and procedural consistencies can be achieved while maintaining needed and necessary operational
relationships between the two locations by placing the Accountant/Fiscal Manager position at the Health and
Human Services Department under the direct supervision of the County Finance Director position at the
Government Center instead of the Health and Human services Director position; and
WHEREAS, the Administration Committee and Health and Human Services Board have reviewed and
discussed operational improvements that may be achieved through closer alignment of the finance functions in the
two locations and both recommend this change moving forward.
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the position of
Accountant/Fiscal Manager at the Health and Human Services Department be placed under the direct supervision of
the County Finance Director position, effective immediately.
