WHEREAS, St. Croix County is addressing current economic conditions in the County; and
WHEREAS, a significant portion of budgeted dollars are allocated for personnel, and
WHEREAS, a cost savings may be realized by reviewing the need to fill current and future
vacant position�*M64&-ftot endanger the operation of essential county functions.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the St Croix County Board of Supervisors hereby
implements a hiring freeze and review process to apply to all current or future vacant positions
effective upon passage of this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that no current or future vacant positions shall be filled until
approved by the parent committee, the Administration Committee and the County Board.
