BYLAWS REGARDING MAILING OF BOARD MEETING ITEMS
RESOLUTION NO. iU (.�6b
St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors Rules and Bylaws Article V, Section A.2. reads:
"All business to come before the Board shall be submitted to and mailed by the
County Clerk not less than 10 days prior to each meeting of the Board.; " and
WHEREAS, it is not always practical to meet this absolute deadline; and
WHEREAS, no penalty is provided for failure to meet this deadline; and
WHEREAS, for years it has been common practice to fail to meet this deadline; and
WHEREAS, any member of the Board needing more time to consider a matter may move to
table the matter until a later time; and
WHEREAS, the Administration Committee recommends the word "shall" be replaced with
the word "should."
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the Board of
Supervisors Rules and Bylaws Article V, Section A. 2. be amended to read:

Clerk not less than 14 days prior to each meeting of the Board."
