BYLAWS REGARDING WCA ANNUAL MEETING

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors Rules and Bylaws Article VI, Section C,
subsection 4 reads:
"Wisconsin County Association Annual Meeting. Supervisors are encouraged to attend
the Annual Meeting of the Wisconsin Counties Association and to participate in seminars
and other educational opportunities. Supervisors are especially encouraged to
participate in sessions that are relevant to their committee assignments. Supervisors shall
be paid a regular per diem not to exceed the Full Day per diem for each day of
attendance and travel in compliance with these Rules and By -Laws. Expenses shall be
reimbursed in compliance with current Travel and Expense Reimbursement Policy. "; and
WHEREAS, said annual meeting is not always cost - effective compared to other
opportunities for supervisors to increase their knowledge; and
WHEREAS, the name of the Wisconsin Counties Association is misspelled; and
WHEREAS, the Administration Committee recommends Subsection 4 be more neutral.
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the
Board of Supervisors Rules and Bylaws Article VI, Section C, subsection 4, be amended to read:
Wisconsin Counties Association Annual Meeting. Supervisors may attend the
annual meeting of the Wisconsin Counties Association and participate in seminars and
other educational opportunities. Supervisors who choose to attend are especially
encouraged to participate in sessions that are relevant to their committee assignments.
Supervisors shall be paid a regular per diem not to exceed the full day per diem for each
day of attendance and travel in compliance with these Rules and By -Laws. Expenses shall
be reimbursed in compliance with current Travel and Expense Reimbursement Policy."
