RESOLUTION APPROVING REIMBURSEMENT DUE LISTING OFFICIALS
FOR LISTING DOGS FOR 2006
St. Croix County, Wisconsin
Resolution No. q3 (2006)
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes sec. 174.06 provides that every town, village and city
shall annually, by September 1, by diligent inquiry list the dogs owned or kept within its
boundaries; and
WHEREAS, in a town the town board shall designate a person to be the listing official,
and in villages and cities the municipal clerk shall be the listing official unless the village board
or common council appoints someone else; and
WHEREAS, a county shall pay each listing official 50 cents for each dog listed, to be
paid out of the dog license fund. If the listing official is not a full -time, salaried municipal
employee, the listing official is entitled to keep the compensation. If the listing official is a full -
time, salaried municipal employee, the listing official shall pay the compensation to the
municipality; and
WHEREAS, the following list shows the municipality, listing official, number of dogs in
each municipality and amounts due each listing official for 2006:
