HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolutions 2005 (07) RESOLUTION AMENDING RULES AND BY -LAWS OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF ST. CROIX COUNTY, WISCONSIN Resolution No. (a 00 S) St. Croix County, Wisconsin WHEREAS, pursuant to direction of the Board of Supervisors issued at its December, 2004 meeting, the Administration Committee recommends that the Rules and By -laws of the Board of Supervisors of St. Croix County, Wisconsin, relating to the Office of the County Surveyor, be amended by adding the language underlined to the description of the Transportation Committee and deleting the language struck through in the description of the Planning and Zoning Committee, as follows: ADDENDUM COMMITTEES & DESCRIPTIONS Transportation Committee Responsible for policy direction in maintenance, construction, and design of all county roads; purchases and sells county road machinery; determines whether each piece of county aid construction shall be let by contract or be done by day labor; provides policy direction on the expenditure of highway maintenance funds received from the state or provided by county tax; reviews all payroll and material bills and vouchers resulting from the construction of highways. Responsible for all matters that relate to air, rail or mass transit. Provides policy direction to the County Surveyor. Planning and Zoning Committee Responsible for policy direction for county planning and development, land use regulations, real property description, , mapping and general land records management; direct the preparation and recommend approval or amendment of the county development plan and its specific elements; direct the preparation and recommend approval or amendment of county land use regulations and make related policy decisions as assigned by the County Board; establish and maintain policies for the county's sui=ve�ing, mapping, real property description, and land records programs; direct the preparation and recommend approval or amendment of the county's land information plan; administration of the County's responsibilities under the recycling law, and educating and assisting the public by providing information on collection and disposal of solid waste. Responsible for policy direction to Planning Director, Zoning Administrator ty Sun and Register of Deeds. THEREFORE, be it resolved by the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that the amendments set forth above be and are hereby approved. Offered by the Administration Committee on March 15, 2005.
