STRATEGY FOR THE WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN REGION
RESOLUTION NO. Co OOS
St. Croix County, Wisconsin
WHEREAS, St. Croix County has been an active participant in the West Central Wisconsin Regional
Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors currently participates in the economic
development district activities of the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, St. Croix County is not statistically qualified to complete its own Comprehensive Economic
Development Strategy (CEDS) for approval by the Economic Development Administration (EDA) based
on current unemployment rates and economic conditions; and
WHEREAS, the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission has completed a
Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy which is based, in part, upon input provided by St.
Croix County and its member municipalities; and
WHEREAS, the West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission has been officially designated
as an Economic Development District by EDA and is the agency responsible for preparing an updated
CEDS for the District.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors hereby supports the
West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission's Comprehensive Economic Development
Strategy as it reflects current conditions and needs for St. Croix County.
