MEDICAL EXAMINER

ST. CROIX COUNTY, WISCONSIN
WHEREAS, Cindy Litzell has resigned the post of St. Croix County Medical
Examiner; and
WHEREAS, Wisconsin Statutes § 59.34(1) provides that the Board of Supervisors shall
appoint the Medical Examiner; and
WHEREAS, Casey Swetlik has experience as Assistant Medical Examiner and is
willing to serve as interim Medical Examiner until a Medical Examiner is apppointed; and
WHEREAS, Cindy Litzell received $829 per month as Medical Examiner.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Croix County Board of Supervisors that
Casey Swetlik is hereby appointed interim Medical Examiner until a Medical Examiner is
appointed and that Casey Swetlik will receive $829 per month to perform the duties of Medical
Examiner including administration of the department and preparation of the 2006 department
budget.
FURTHER, the Public Protection Committee is directed to explore options, including
contracting, to fill the position of Medical Examiner.
