Present: Ronald Raymond, Lois Burri, Bill Peavey, Gene Ruetz, Pete Kling, Kimberly Reaman, Joan Sprain, and Mary Lestrud.
Excused: Sharon Norton - Bauman
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Ron Raymond.
Date of next meeting was set for March 6, 2007.
Ruetz moved that the agenda be adopted as presented. Peavey seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Peavey moved that the previous meeting's minutes be approved. Burri seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Burri moved that the vouchers be approved. Ruetz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Community Resource Development Agent Report
Kling shared information about the upcoming "Going Green: Bio- Energy Opportunities for Northwest Wisconsin" Conference. The
conference will be March 9, 2007 at the WITC Conference Center in Rice Lake.
Administrative
Peavey moved to support the St. Croix County Fair Board's decision to remove the house from the St. Croix County Fairgrounds. Burri
seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Ruetz moved to authorize Kim Reaman's signature on the Po -Croix -Dun 4 -H Camp Association checking account for 2007. Burri
seconded the motion. Motion carried.
WACEC: Sprain reported on the Western District WACEC meeting held January 26 ( Burri and Norton- Bauman were unable to
attend due to personal commitments.) A panel of three: a county administrator, and 2 county board members shared their thoughts and
suggestions regarding local partnerships. Another panel of legislators shared their view of the importance of UW- Extension and how we
can share that message with other legislators. A summary is attached.
The State WACEC Meeting will be held March 26t -28 in Madison and will include visits with legislators and staff. Burri will attend.
It was discussed that our legislators should be invited to a future Ag Committee meeting to learn more about UW- Extension.
Agent Reviews: Burri moved to enter into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(c) for the purpose of
performance reviews of Agents. Roll call vote: Raymond — yes; Burri — yes; Peavey — yes; Ruetz — yes. Burri moved to reconvene into
open session. Ruetz seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Ruetz moved to adjourn. Burri seconded the motion. Motion carried.
