present at this meeting. Therefore, this notice also serves as notice of a meeting of the County
Board for the purpose of obtaining information relating to subjects listed above for use at
future County Board meetings.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
JANUARY 11, 2011
CALL TO ORDER: Chair Hermsen called the meeting to order at 4:10 p.m.
ROLL CALL - Members Present: Supervisors Steve Hermsen, Sharon Norton- Bauman,
James Stauffer, Lorin Sather and Buzz Marzolf. Sharon Norton- Bauman left the meeting at 5:10
p.m. Robert Shearer was absent.
STAFF PRESENT: Dave Fodroczi, Jennifer Havens, Ellen Denzer
GUESTS: None
AGENDA: Motion by Norton - Bauman, 2nd by Sather to adopt the agenda. Motion carried.
DATE OF NEXT MEETING: January 20, 2011 at the Government Center in Hudson.
OLD AND NEW BUSINESS
Recycling Ordinance: Committee and staff reviewed a list of comments and questions submitted
by Supervisor Stauffer with responses from staff that were distributed prior to the meeting by staff.
Committee endorsed a number of simple edits made by staff. Committee made additional edits
based on discussion of Supervisor's Stauffer's list during the meeting. Committee agreed to
complete review of the list at the January 20 regular meeting and asked staff to research the
hazards of burning non - recyclable paper and to work on specific language regarding hauler charges
for service.
Meeting Schedule for Work Sessions: Committee discussed a schedule conflict with the
Economic Development Corporation on second Tuesdays and agreed to schedule future work
sessions on the first Thursday of the month from 4:00 -6:00 p.m. in the Community Room of the
Government Center in Hudson.
Chair Henn sen adjourned the meeting at 5:50 p.m.
