May 24, 2007
Chairman Esther Wentz called the meeting to order.
Esther Wentz — verbal roll call
Members Present: Esther Wentz, Denise Gunderson, Tom Hennes, Linda Robertson,
Tom Caflisch, Steve Kirt, Doreen Rivard, Ed Thurman, Joan Sprain and Amber Perry
Adoption of Agenda —Steve and then Denise made motions to approve the agenda and the
motion was carried.
Approval of Minutes — Approval of the minutes of the last meeting will be postponed
until the next meeting.
Next Meeting: Thursday June 28th @ 3pm in Room 1281, St. Croix County Government
Center.
OLD AND NEW BUSINESS
FUTURE EVENTS:
• The St. Croix County Meth Advisory Committee is scheduled to sunset
next month but could possibly remain as a committee that will be
expanded to cover alcohol and other drugs.
• The recommendation of the Meth Advisory Committee was to call the
committee the St. Croix County Drug Advisory Committee.
UPDATE ON BUTTERFLY HOUSE- DOREEN
• They now have three residents.
• Doreen lives in the house and provides guidance and support
• The Butterfly House received another grant that wants them to expand their
advisory board
• The women in Butterfly House are open to telling others their story. They are
great resources to have at the MADAM sponsored booths at local events.
• They are still in need of supplies. Call Doreen at 715- 417 -1216.
UPCOMING EVENTS — DOREEN
1. July 19 -21— Polk County Fair: MADAM will have a display and information
2. There is an ongoing support group very Sunday night at the Butterfly House
