March 27, 2007
Chairman Esther Wentz called the meeting to order
Esther Wentz — verbal roll call
Members Present: Esther Wentz, Denise Gunderson, Tom Hennes, Linda Robertson,
Tom Caflisch, Steve Kirt, Doreen Rivard, Ed Thurman, Ann Davey and Amber Perry and
two guests.
Absent: Katie Deatherage, Dennis Hillstead, Bill Cranmer, Eric Johnson, Dave
McQuillen, Dana Krahenbuhl, Joan Sprain
Adoption of Agenda —Steve and Denise made motions to approve the agenda and the
motions were carried.
Approval of Minutes - The minutes from the last meeting on February 27 were approved
with corrections.
Next Meetings: Thursday April 26 and May 24 @ 3pm in Room 1281, St. Croix County
Government Center.
OLD AND NEW BUSINESS
UPDATE ON DRUG COURT — AMBER PERRY
• The St. Croix County Drug Court is currently serving 9 clients and one
will be watching tomorrow.

UPDATE ON BUTTERFLY HOUSE- DOREEN
• The house was built in 1870
• The pipes are broken, front window needs replacement and the boiler doesn't
work but volunteers are helping to repair and replace.
• It is a sober transition house for women.
• The Department of Corrections has found some funding to them, a van for
their use and volunteer driving.
• April 21 is a workday at the house
• April 28 is the Open House: 336 North Washington, St. Croix Falls 54024
• Tenets move in on May 1St
• Amber will ask Alano Club in NR for treatment and other books
• See attached list of supplies needed for the house.
• Call Doreen @ 715- 417 -1216 if you can donate
FREE CLINIC OF PIERCE AND ST.CROIX COUNTIES
• It will be open every Tuesday beginning April 24
• Hours are 5pm —9pm. Registration is from 5 -6
• No appointments, its first come, first serve
• Will serve first 25 patients
• Location: Unit 2 at the River Falls Medical Clinic, 1687 East Division St.
River Falls, WI
• Phone: 715- 307 -3948
• Who is eligible: The uninsured and those 185 % Federal Poverty Level For
example: Household of one with income of $18,888 or less or Household or
four with income of $38,202 or less.
• Mission: To provide primary health care and preventative health education
for the people of Pierce and St. Croix Counties who have no health care
insurance.
• The following services are not available: Birth Control, Pregnancy Testing,
Immunizations, prescriptions for narcotics and other controlled substances.

UPCOMING EVENTS — DOREEN
1. March 29 — Annual Women's Health Conference at Hazelden Cork Center from
6 - 8 p.m. Doreen will bring her display and talk to those interested.
2. April 12 — WITC Annual Campus Health Fair at Rice Lake Conference Center
from 9 a.m.- 1p.m.
OTHER BUSINESS
1. Denise said we need to do abetter job of reaching children whose parents abuse
drugs.
2. Steve said that St. Croix County doesn't have a program to help children who are
exposed to meth. A policy needs to be developed to protect children exposed to
meth.
