Present: Ronald Raymond, Lois Burri, Bill Peavey, Gene Ruetz, Sharon Norton- Bauman, Lee
Milligan, Joan Sprain and Kimberly Reaman.
The meeting was called to order by Chairnian Ron Raymond.
Date of next meeting was set for November 7, 2006.
Ruetz moved that the agenda be adopted as presented. Burri seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Norton - Bauman moved that the previous meeting's minutes be approved. Burri seconded the motion.
Motion carried.
Norton - Bauman moved that the vouchers be approved. Peavey seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Administrative Report
2007 Budget - Raymond and Reaman reported on the budget review with the Finance Committee. The
2007 budget for UWEX was accepted by the Finance Committee and will be presented to the County
Board as proposed.
Milligan reviewed the interview dates for the Community and Natural Resource Development position.
Preliminary interviews will be held October 10 and final interviews will be held October 25.
4 -H Youth Development Report
Reaman shared that she is one of 5 individuals in WI that have been selected for the National
Extension Leadership Development program. There will be no expense to the county budget. She
thanked the committee for their support of her nomination.
Burri and Ruetz volunteered to help present awards for years of service to 4 -H leaders at the Leader's
Recognition Banquet on Oct 10.
Reaman shared the promotional efforts to recruit members and leaders to the St. Croix
Family Living Agent Report
Sprain reported on family living program partnerships. She has been invited to the Coordinated
Family Services committee and has helped connect UW- Extension resourced with a child support
grant proposal. Financial education programs are being developed. Burri and Sprain will be attending
a financial counseling training in Neillsville, October 12 &13.
Sprain and Reaman also reported on Family Camp. There were 11 families participating. All parents
reported learning parenting tips, getting to know other families and creating friendships and
appreciating the time spent with their children.
Two upcoming programs this month will be Positive Parenting at the Family Resource Center and
Living as a Cheapskate Leader Training.
Chair declares meeting adjourned.
