Farm Technology Days.
Community Resource Development Agent
Pete Kling introduced himself and thanked the staff and committee for the opportunity to serve
St. Croix County as the Community Resource Agent. He presented a rough draft of the Rural
Living Guide that was developed jointly by UWEX/St. Croix Planning and Zoning to educate
new and existing property owners about issues that may affect them when living in rural areas.
Preliminary comments from Towns and County Committees have been positive. The guide will
be presented to the Towns Association in January.

after assessing local community needs. Areas of interest include energy conservation
programming, land -use planning (cooperative boundary agreements, Hwy 64 and I -94 corridors,
and regional workshops), development of the business services sector throughout the county, and
community development as it relates to fostering public /public and public /private collaboration
and partnerships.
