Meeting called to order by acting Chair Peterson at 1:35 p.m.
Roll Call: not a quorum
Motion to adopt agenda by Jacobs, second by Jansen, motion carried.
Motion to accept previous meeting minutes by Jacobs, second by Jansen, motion
carried.
Next Meeting Date: Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 1:30 pm in Room 1281 at the
Government Center, Hudson
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
1. Update on Long Term Care Reform and Regional Planning Proposal:
PowerPoint presentation "Redesigning Long Term Care in Wisconsin ". Discussion.
2. Progress on implementing Partially Funded DD Waivers: Making progress on
this. Using respite program money as match for 1 B waiver slots. Transition to be
completed by the end of 2006.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Financial Report: Handout through December 2005 by Lockwood. Discussion.
2. Variance & Purchase Requests and COP high -cost requests: Currently 2 COP
high cost requests. 1. $6,255 for a van lift repair for a disabled person, 2. $41,600 home

modifications for a physically disabled person to continue living in his /her home. Motion
to approve $6,255 COP high cost request for van lift repair by Walthal, second by
Ramacher, motion carried. No motion made for $41,600 home modifications, more
information requested by Jansen. Will discuss at next meeting.
3. Nursing Home relocation requests: 5 requests currently. Motion to approve five
Nursing Home Relocation Requests for persons to move to the community by
Jacobs, second by Jansen. Motion carried. Lockwood explained that if a NH relocation
slot is occupied for at least 180 days, that slot can be used as a Diversion slot in the
future. If the slot isn't used for 180 days, the funding goes back to the State.
4. Elder Abuse - Wisconsin Report 2004: Handout by Lockwood, discussion.
5. Kjersti Duncan, Director of Department on Aging — Program Report: Duncan
reported May is Older Americans Month and will have an open house May 18. The
Senior Resource Fair will be held May 12.
Liza Gibson is the new Benefit Specialist.
CWAG District 6 conference in Chippewa Falls is March 31.
Hudson Meals on Wheels has reduced meals to 4 times a week, demand for meals has
increased. Increase in the need for transportation also.
April 19 is the Volunteer Recognition Banquet, over 350 volunteers with over 16,734
hours in 2005, which results into direct savings of $144,575 to taxpayers.
