1, Goals and Strategies=
The committee reviewed past events and began brainstorming on what to do next,
Dave said the Polk County Moth Advisory Committee is still active, They have raised money to
put up anti -moth billboards and road signs, He said he would hate to see this committee dissolve
because we can't depend on other community resources to focus on drug problems,
Dave suggested we contact the business community particularly those in human resources and
ask them if they would like information, a video or a presentation on "moth use and abuse ". He
said companies loose $21 million annually in employees missed days due to health issues related
to moth and other drug use.
Also, these businesses may be willing to fund future programs,

Qeralyn said the River palls Partnership for Youth would be developing a survey to evaluate
bow much the community knows or needs to know about Meth, They probably will target focus
groups such as high school age students from different demographic areas. This program plans to
work with the UW Extension to draw on their evaluation expertise,
Dave asked what has been done to inform the St Croix County employees about the dangers of
meth: Esther said she would bring it up at the next Department Mead Meeting. Esther said
a survey could be conducted on the Intranet. Denise said that a questionnaire could be included
in employee's paychecks if employees do not have access to the intranet, Eric asked if a
brochure could be included in the paycheck but der said this would be too expensive.
Esther revisited the idea of a survey and recommended a committee work on the content of the
survey, Esther, Geralyn, Denise, Steve and Dave agreed to be on the committee and will
meet on Wednesday, July 5 at l pm at the Health Center is Now Richmond.
There were various ideas as to how to survey the employees such as putting the survey in
paychecks or on the intranet or asking department heads to survey their employees, In the end,
Dave suggested that the survey be given to Chuck and Ruck for their approval, They will talk to
the department heads to get their approval before July 14 so; hopefully, the employees could be
surveyed on July 14,
