UNFINISHED BUSINESS Mr. Helgeson stated the state is looking into the issues on Hwy. 65 in Roberts. At this time they can't justify lowering the speed limit. NEW BUSINESS Chairman Shilts mentioned that a letter was received reference a request to extend the "no passing zone" line on Hwy. 35 from 125 Ave until at least 1/ mile N of Riverview Acres Rd. in St. Joseph Township. Mr. Helgeson stated if the state does this it would create a large stretch of a "no passing zone" and take away a stretch of passing zone which could create problems. Mr. Helgeson will respond to the above issue. Mr. Helgeson wondered if there have been a lot of problems with 194 WB ramp at Hwy. 63. People are going a little too fast and lose control and slide off the road. This seems to be a driver error issue. No design problems. A request was received for guard rails at CTH I at the curve down from Walsh Rd. Mr. Ramberg stated the county has reduced the speed to 40 MPH and also they added an arrow sign for the curve and adjusted the others. The county also placed a curve a head sign on the speed limit sign. A discussion was held reference the intersection of CTH T and Hwy. 64. Mr. Helgeson stated the stated is looking at putting rumble strips in. Mr. Ramberg stated he doesn't really agree with rumble strips as they create problems.
