MEETING MINUTES
June 2, 2005
MEMBERS PRESENT: Keith Gregerson, Lorraine Jacobs, Ron Jansen, Richard
Peterson, Marge Wolske
MEMBERS EXCUSED: James Craig, Denise Gunderson, Deb Ramacher, Melissa

MEMBERS ABSENT: Tom Dowd
STAFF PRESENT: Ron Lockwood, LTS Coordinator
Meeting called to order by Chair Gregerson at 5:30 p.m.
Roll Call: Quorum not present
Next Meeting Date: Thursday, July 28, 2005 at 1:30 pm in room 1281 at the
Government Center in Hudson. State Senator Sheila Harsdorf will join us to discuss
long term care issues.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
1. Guardianship Training Schedule: Lockwood reported that the training has been
scheduled for 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 in the Community Room
at the St. Croix County Government Center in Hudson, WI. Betsy Abramson, Attorney at
Law, from the University of Wisconsin Law School, will be the main presenter. This
community event is being financed by a Guardianship Mini -grant through
AgeAdvantage, Inc., and the State of Wisconsin.
2. Final placement from Northern Center generating security questions: The last
St. Croix County resident at Northern Center in Chippewa Falls has moved to a
community care living situation in Cadott, WI. Some questions regarding back -up
service availability have been resolved and the facility is certified for Adult Family Care.
REM, Inc. is the residential care provider.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Financial Report: Handout by Lockwood. Discussion.
2. Variance & Purchase Requests and COP high -cost requests: None.

3. Nursing Home relocation requests: May become available after July 1, 2005. Joint
Finance Committee has approved Governor's proposal.
4. WI Medicaid Reporting and the Community Aids Appropriation: New Medicaid
Management Information System (MMIS) will soon replace the current Human Services
Reporting System (HSRS) in order to integrate financial and program reporting systems,
Lockwood reported. The State of Wisconsin DHFS will be establishing pilot county
systems in 2006.
5. Kjersti Olson, Director, Department on Aging Program Report: No report.
6. 2006 Budget Public Hearing: Motion made to adjourn at 6:00 p.m. by Wolske,
second by Jacobs. Motion carried.
