To Whom It May Concern,
Community Development Department staff have reviewed your sign permit application for an
exterior wall sign flush mounted on a building in the C-3 Zoning District pursuant to Section 15.380
of the St. Croix County Zoning Ordinance. A Land Use Permit is required prior to the improvement,
erection, construction, reconstruction, enlargement or alteration of any sign, structural component
or mounting device.
The request for the building sign has been conditionally approved based on the findings below as
per Chapter 15.380:
• The total area of all building signs does not exceed 10% of the facade area and meets the
maximum allowable sign area of 80 square feet per face and 240 square feet in total. The
proposed sign will be 61.25 sq ft.
• The proposed sign will be attached flat against the building wall/window, and the sign face shall
not extend or protrude more than 12 inches from the wall/window.
• The sign will not extend above the roofline.
Based on these findings, approval of SP-2022-003 is subject to the following conditions:
1. Sign and sign components, and elements of faces of signs shall not flash, move, travel, or use
animation or change in intensity of artificial light.
2. The signs display surface shall be properly coated or covered, attached and maintained.
3. The applicant shall be responsible to secure any other required local, state or federal permit(s)
and approval(s) prior to erecting the signs.
4. Any amendment or change in the proposed sign shall require prior review by the Zoning
Administrator for compliance with Chapter 15.380; a new permit may be required.
5. Failure to comply with the terms or conditions above may result in the revocation of this permit
by the Zoning Administrator according to Chapter 15.380

This approval is subject to the conditions listed above; it does not allow for any additional signs,
sign components and elements of signs beyond the limits of this request. Your information will
remain on file with the St. Croix County Community Development Department. It is your
responsibility to ensure compliance with any other local, state, or federal permitting or regulations,
including contacting the Town of Richmond and Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Outdoor
Advertising, to inquire if additional permissions are required.
This permit is valid for one year, with the possibility of up to two (2) six-month extensions if the
applicant submits the appropriate permit extension fee and documentation to the Zoning
