Kinney explained the procedures of the hearing, requesting that I ndividuals wishing to testify sign their names and addresses on the sheet in the front of the room. Supervisors Bradley, Menter, Sinclear, Stephens and Kinney were all in attendance. Staff present was Zoning Administrator Tom Nelson. Bradley made a motion that the minutes be approved. Motion seconded by Stephens. Motion carried. Stephens made a motion that the agenda be approved as mailed. Seconded by Bradley. Motion carried. The next regular meeting will be Nov. 26, 1991. OLD BUSINESS FRANK BACHMAId Steve Dunlap requested a postponement until the next regular meeting. He has not been able to obtain the assessment values of the structure as it existed in 1976 or the proposed values of the structure as it will be remodeled. Motion by Stephens, seconded by Menter to postpone a decision until the proper information can be presented. JOHN BETTENDORF Attorney Mark Gherity representing Bettendorf requested that the Board of Adjustment reconsider their denial of the variance request to exceed the driveway width of 35 feet. Their request is for 124 feet to accommodate the truck traffic. Gherity cited several examples of other commercial driveway that exceeded this setback. JOHN JOHNSTON John DeBoer stated that the commercial storage building would be to store inventory items for Doboy from New Richmond. There would be very limited traffic. Larry Isdahl stated the building would be 129,000 feet square and requI res state plan approval. There will be no loading docks. Stephens made a motion to approve the storage use with the condition that State approved plans be received. Motion seconded by Bradley. Motion carried. 1 MARK MONTRBIRAND Nelson stated that Montbriands Board of Adjustment approval for an addition to his lake cabin has also required the installation of a holding tank. The one year period had lapsed and a violation was issued. Montbriand is requesting a extension of this period. Nelson stated that he was opposed to this request since he had a year to complete this project. Stephens made a motion to extend his installation date to May 1 of 1992. Motion seconded by Menter. Motion carried. LLOYD OLSON Nelson stated this was a request for a storage building to store boats, campers and etc. for individuals in the community. Bradley made a motion that the use be permitted as requested. Motion seconded by Stephens. Motion carried. NEW BUSINESS The hearing was called to order at 10:00 A.M. Nelson read the notice of the hearing as published: The St. Croix County Board of Adjustment has scheduled a public hearing for Monday Oct. 28, 1991 at 9:00 A.M. in the County Board Room of the St. Croix County Courthouse, Hudson, Wisconsin to consider the following appeals to the St. Croix County Zoning Ordinance. An on site investigation will be made of each site in questions, after which the board contemplates adjournment into closed session for the purpose of deliberating on the appeals, pursuant to Sec. 19.85(1)(a), Wisconsin Statutes, and will reconvene into open session for the purpose of voting on the appeals. 1. ARTICLE: 17.64(1)(d)2 Setback/Town Road APPELLANT: Leonard Triebold LOCATION: SW 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of Sec. 29, T29N=R18W, Town of Warren Nelson stated that Duenow, VanBeek and Triebold would not be presented for various reasons. Raboin requested an Auto Mechanic Business on this property that was recently rezoned to commercial. There are no other employees other than himself. No hazardous materials will be stored on the property. The township of Star Prairie supports this proposal. VERNON E. KT.AUSTERMEIER Klaustermeier presented a request to build a storage shed 55 feet setback from the county road in Emerald, The existing building are currently closer than this setback, The township of Emerald supports this proposal, RANDY BEACH Beach presented an amended request of 70 feet setback from the center of a town road. The township of Stanton has opposed the rigi onal request of 60 feet since the other existing structures were setback further. The proposed structure is a 24 feet by 40 feet garage. After visiting the properties the following decision were made: JOHN BETTENDORF Stephens stated that the driveway at this time of the ordinance and original decision, Proper appeal has not been followed and the driveway into compliance or cited with an violation.
