The meeting was called to order by Chairman Kinney at 9:00 A.M.
Chairman Kinney explained the procedures of the hearing,
requesting that individuals wishing to testify sign their names
and addresses on the sheet in the front of the room.
Supervisors Menter, Stephens, Sinclear and Kinney were all in
attendance. Supervisor Bradleys absence was excused.
Staff present included Zoning Administrator Tom Nelson and
Assistant Zoning Administrator Jim Thompson.
OLD BUSINESS
Dan presented a site plan showing his proposed major home
occupation for a cabinet shop.
Gene Nelson stated that the township supports the proposed home
occupation.
Stephens made a motion to grant the use as proposed. Seconded by
Sinclear. Motion carried.
Michael Martel provided a survey verifying the 75' setback of the
proposed storage building from the river as required by the hoard
of Adjustment.
Motion by Stephens, seconded by Sinclear to approve the proposed
commercial storage application as presented by the applicant.
Nelson stated that John Pflieder has made application for his
special exception permit as required by the Board of Adjustment.
He is requesting that his citation and violations be suspended.
Stephens made a motion to suspend the citation and violation
until after the March Board of Adjustment meeting since he was
now in compliance. Motion seconded by menter.
NEW BUSINESS
The bearing was called to order at 9:30 A.M. Nelson read the
notice as published:

The St. Croix County Board of Adjustment has scheduled a public
hearing for Monday, Feb. 24, 1992 at 9:30 A.M. in the County
Board Room of the St. Croix County Courthouse, Hudson, Wisconsin
to consider the following appeals to the St. Croix County Zoning
Ordinance. An onsite investigation will be made of each site in
question, after which the board contemplates adjournment into
closed session for the purpose of deliberating on the appeals,
pursuant to Sec. 19.85(1)(a), Wisconsin Statutes, and will
reconvene into open session for the purpose of voting on the
appeals.

Steve Hanks presented a plan for a mechanical lift to the St.
Croix River down the bluff. Brad Lowman, an adjoining land owner
expressed his concerns wanting to protect his future interests.

Stephens made a notion, seconded by Sinclear, that this request
as well as the next request by Daryl & Bonnie Zimmer be postponed
until the next regular meeting so that property owners can be
notified. Notice will include the neighbors three parcels on
either side of the applicants so as to provide the opportunity
for proper planning in accordance with the management policy.
Motion carried.
Gary presented a site and concept plan for a private airstrip
where others, by permission, can land on the runway..
A hanger may be constructed in the future to Mouse the plane.
There was a concern by the Board of Adjustment if proper
documentation was received by the neighbors to the property.
Discussion.
,Terry Larson, town board chairman, stated that the township
supports the proposal.
DAN ORg'/BILL LAWSON
Bill presented a request to construct a driveway in the
Shoreland District of Bass Lake on slopes that exceed 200. This
driveway would provide legal access to the property. Access at
this time is provided across another persons property without an
easement.
The township of St. Joseph supports the proposal.
Allen Nyhagen presented a request for a driveway separation on
property along STH 12. The parcel in question is a preexisting
parcel that cannot meet the 500 foot driveway separation. The
township of Warren supports the proposal.
Thompson explained that Gary Pulford was in violation of the
Zoning Ordinance by building a living quarters above a detached
garage. At this time Pulford is requesting a special exception
use permit for a two family residence. He is proposing to
enclose a corridor between the two buildings approximately 75'
long.
Town township of Somerset is opposed to the creation of a parcel
split but would support two residences.
LSD CERMOHOUS
Ed presented a request for a contractor storage yard on property

he owns in Troy township.
Nelson stated complaints had been received for a junkyard and
Cernohous was cited.
Individuals expressing concerns were Tony Nasvik, Shelly Waldera,
Renee' Bugni and Glen Wiesr.
Dean Albert, townboard chairman, stated the township supports the
proposal with a limit of 4 vehicles and no Storage materials.
