NSTRUCTIONS: This record shall show.the location of the corner and shall nclude all of the following nine elements ,(a through i) . a. Identify the corner by reference to the U. S. public land survey system. 0 = Corner monument restored. b•. Show a plan view drawing depicting the relevant monuments and reference ties which is suf�'icient in detail to enable accurate relocation of the corner monument if the corner monument is disturbed. Indicate north. c. In the plan view drawing, provide reference ties to at least 4 witness monuments, -or, if the location#is within a municipality -to at least 2 witness -monuments. (Witness monuments shall be 1" x 24" iron pipes). d. Was the corner restored through acceptance of (1) an obliterated evidence location, or, (2) a'found perpetuated location? Found perpetuated cornea e.. Describe any record evidence, monument evidence, occupational evidence, testimonial evidence or any other material evidence you considered, and whether the monument was found or placed. Excavation may be necessary and.is strongly recommended. This corner was shown on Certified Survey Map , Vol.51 Page 1228, corner was removed,due to road construction, I replaced corner as shown on C.S.M. and corner ties. f. Describe any material discrepancy between the location of the corner as restored or reestablished and the location of that corner as previously restored or reestablished by distance and direction. Show the discrepai,- on the plan view drawing under b. Show the distances between the corner as previously restored or reestablished and (1) the corner as restored or reestablished, and (2) to at least 2 of the witness monuments shown on the drawing in b. Possible discrepancy from Corner as shown on C.S.M.-Vol. 5, Page 1228 and C.S.M. Vol. 3, Page 770. y. �h. Was the corner reestablished through lost corner proportionate methods? Monument was set at P.K. nail placed by surveyor #1042 during a Feb. 6, 1979 survey.,:, A 1 iron pipe as placed by R.L.S. #963 & #1804 during a Sept. 9, 1981 survey, and stated as being placed using "single proportion" was not accepted,. even though it is shown below. The 1��pipe was disregarded because: 1) The nail by #1042 was placed using occupation pursuant to the 1973 Manual of Instructions; 2) R.L.S. #1042 knew the nail was within 4' of fitting single proportion; 3) The nail fit occupation across both 25-29-18 and 30-29--17; 4) R.L.S. #1042 conducted his work pursuant to "Obliterated" methods as outlined in said Manual; 5) The nail fit bona fide property rights per. said Manual; 6) R.L.S. #1804 stated that he knew of the presence of the nail and disregarded it because it was not placed using single proportion; 7) Dependent resurvey, obliterated method is the proper method, rather than using "lost corner" method as done by R.L.S. #1804. (c) in the plan view drawing below, provide reference ties to at least 4 witness monuments, or, if the location Is within a municipality, to at least 2 witness monuments. (witness monuments sha I I be made of concrete, natural stone, iron or other equally durable material.) • Describe witness monuments. Show the distances between the corner as previously restored or reestablished and ( 1 ) the corner as restored or reestablished, and ( 2 ) to at least 2 of the witness monuments shown on the drawing in (d), above. The P.K. nail found was accepted as monumenting the corner position for reasons enumerated in (b) above. The dimensions North and South to adjacent corners do,. not match the original Government survey, but they were previously reestablished by others. The method to establish the nail was proper and so was accepted. (f) Was the corner restored through acceptance of ( 1 ) an obl Iterated evidence location, or, (2) a found pe-rpetuated location? A found perpetuated location. (g&h) Was the corner reestablished through lost corner proportionate methods?
