September 14, 2022 Fran B. and I visited this corner and did not find a monument at the corner. There is
no evidence of the original post or the original bearing trees. There is no history as to how or when this
corner was set or by whom. In the surveyor records there are old Mylar tie sheets of every township that
indicate a monument at this corner with 2 ties. One northwesterly 33.44' 10' north of fence corner and one
Southeasterly 41.00' 11' south of fence corner. I searched for and found both of the indicated ties. It is
assumed that Ogden Engineering created the Mylar sheets for the townships sometime in the 1980's. It has
been common for the county surveyors office to set aluminum monuments after road construction in the
past. With several different surveyors using the same Aluminum Cap, and it fitting local occupation I believe
the aluminum cap to be the best location of the original section corner. We have measured into the
aluminum cap in the past and after checking survey and section distances I set a Survey Mark Nail at the
previous aluminum cap location 1' west of centerline and measured 4 found ties as shown.
